COVID-19: Statement from Argus


The safety of our guests and our team members is paramount during this unprecedented global COVID-19 pandemic.

Argus Accommodation is committed to providing our guests travelling with new or existing bookings, including those which are non-refundable, increased flexibility to alter or delay travel arrangements by adjusting our booking policies to reflect the current global travel environment.

As a result of increasing government restrictions, Argus may be forced to reduce the availability of services in order to best protect the safety of our guests and staff.

As an independent hotel company we endeavour to provide as much flexibility for our guests travel arrangements as possible and have made the following alterations to our cancellation policies:


    LOCAL NT LOCKDOWNS/LOCKOUTS: In the event a lockdown/lockout period has specifically been declared for Darwin City or an Argus property is locked down/locked out by NT Government authorities due to COVID 19 concerns, all reservations made prior to the announcement of the lockdown/lockout due to check-in for the advised period of the lockdown/lockout can be cancelled free of charge and if payment has been taken, refunds should be applied. This will apply for as long as the lockdown/lockout period is extended. Normal cancellation fees will apply to any reservations due to check-in outside of the advised lockdown/lockout period. If a reservation is made after a lockdown/lockout has been declared, normal cancellation policies will apply.

    For any reservations due to check-in outside of the lockdown/lockout window, normal cancellation policies will apply. We unfortunately cannot extend the free cancellation period past any of our normal cancellation periods unless a reservation is due to check-in within the declared lockdown/lockout period.

    LOCAL GOV AREA LOCKDOWNS/LOCKOUTS: In the event the area from where a guest is travelling is declared to lockdown/lockout by the relevant statutory or federal government body, the guest will have 24 hours from the time the lockdown/lockout is declared to contact Argus to cancel their reservation and provide evidence, they are travelling from a locked down/locked out area to receive free cancellation for any reservation due to check-in within the agreed cancellation policy period. If a reservation is made after a lockdown/lockout has been declared, normal cancellation policies will apply.

    For any reservations due to check-in outside of the lockdown/lockout window, normal cancellation policies will apply. We unfortunately cannot extend the free cancellation period past any of our normal cancellation periods unless a reservation is due to check-in within the declared lockdown/lockout period.
